We always had lovely holidays. We started going on holiday when Daniel was a baby / toddler and John loved having the opportunity to spend so much time with him, playing in the sand and paddling in the sea. When Rachael was born, we went to Cornwall, again he so enjoyed being able to spend quality time with them both. Then when Claire was born we started going on camping holidays, which the kids loved, and again, he would play cricket with them on the beach, take them on the paddle boats and enjoy the time together as a family. We all loved the New Forest and had many a memorable holiday there. We also drove to France, again Camping and had some fun times. When the kids were a bit older we rented a villa in Salou in Spain, this was really nice and we went there several times. John’s favourite time was getting dressed up in the evening when we would all go out for dinner. As Daniel grew up he decided we were too boring and that he was too old to come with us! We went to Spain, Corfu, Tunisia and had lovely times but John would always want to phone Daniel each evening to make sure he was okay.
